I was able to complete the battery box today and also colpleted riveting of platenuts for solenoid mounts. The battery retainer plate and mounting spacers were also fabricated. The battery box and solenoids were bolted to the firewall. The battery box will have to be removed and replaced when I rivet the firewall recess to the firewall, but I am putting this off as long as possible as the opening provides convenient access to the inside of the front cabin. When I bolted the solenoids in place I discovered I misread the plan and drilled the bolt holes through an existing rivet hole, rather than between holes. This caused the Master solenoid to be slightly high relative to the battery box. I opened up the slots in the mounting bracket to allow me to lower the solenoid enought to avoid any conflict.
