Today I completed the inventory of pasts for the fuselage kit. As is typical for Van's (at least in my experience) everything was accounted for and very well packed.
Once I got the rivets put in the bins I started work on the firewall. First a couple of angles were fabricated from angle stock, then gussets, stiffeners, spacers and weldments were clecoed to the firewall and match drilled. The firewall recess was also celcoed and match drilled. Lastly I began fabricating the fuel pump doubler and brake bracket from sheet aluminum as specified.
