At long last I finished with the fuel tanks, other than the final leak check which will have to wait unsil the selant has cured. I riveted the skin to the baffle on the left tank using the pneumatic squeezer. Then I mixed my last little bit of sealant and riveted the attach angles to the rear baffle and rib flanges using pull rivets. I am so pleased to finally be done with the sealant!! Hopefully the leak test next week will reinforce my happiness.
After completing the tanks I attached them to their respecitve wings so they could cure on-wing. Friend Skip stopped by and helped me mode the right wing off of the build stand and onto the rolling cradle and then move the left wing back to the build stand, and I attached that tank.
I have a few more odds and ends I want to complete while the build stands are in place but will soon be ready to move the wings to the tabletop for completion. For kicks I ran the wingtip lighting wires in the left wing. I still need to install and run wire for the stall warning.
