Today I riveted the interior ribs for the right tank. These tanks are really kicking my butt! I removed every 3rd cleco, preped the hole and dabbed in sealant using a toothpick and riveted. I took about half the sealant I mixed and put it in the refrigerator as soon as I mixed it so it was still useable in the afternoon. Typical working time for the sealant is 2 hours atr room temperature. I also riveted the fuel filler and drain flanges.
This is still pretty messy work with the sealnat, and not particularly comfortable wearing latex gloves all day and donning the respirator every time I need to use MEK solvent to clean something. But I am making good progress and only have a few more of these sessions to go......
