I powered up the Skyview EFIS for the first time today. No fire, popping noises or smoke so that was a good start.
It was not exactly plug and play, but a call to Support informed me the EFIS had to have a software update before I coud network it with other components. The update was done and a network update discovered all components excet the autopilot roll servo. I will have to check the connections for that. There was also a problem communicating with the ADAHRS module, which I eventually traced to two wires (white/green and white/gray) being reversed in one of the terminal connectors. With these corrected the ADAHRS fired up properly. Engine management appears to be working and all cylinder and exhaust gas temperatures were registering room temperature.
I entered the license codeds for the Maps and the VX-X interface.
Tomorrow I will network to the various serial devices.
