Brief Description:  Left wheel fairing

Before going to the airport I had a few errands to run including picking up a box at the Post Office. It was the intersection fairings and empennage fairing I ordered from Fairing, Inc. I am pleased with the workmanship and these will save me many hours versus molding these intersection fairings myself.

I continued work on the left wheel fairing. The front and back halves were drilled to each other. It took a number of tries to get the bottom cut out sufficiently for the tire. Once that was done the rear section was notched to allow for the gear leg. This section was then rough aligned and drilled to the outside bracket and clecoed. The front section was then clecoed to the rear and final alignment was done. The included aligning the fairing horizontally, aligning it to the extended center line of the airplane, and assuring that it was aligned with the wheel. With alignment set the fairings were drilled to the inside bracket. Holes were then drilled to final size.
