Brief Description:  Right wheel fairing

Today I trimmed and fitted the right wheel fairing halves, The two halves were drilled to each other. The tire opening was cut to size using the left fairing as a model. The rear section was drilled to the outside bracket. The front half clecoed to the rear, alignments made and fairings drilled to the inside bracket. All holes drilled to final size.

Next I did 2 and 3 ply fibergalss layups on the mounting screw hole areas on all wheel fairing sections. These were done on the inside of the fairing using epoxy resin.

I decided to start work on the canopy next. The Tomorrow will be hot but not unbearably so so it will be a good day to open the door and do some plexiglass cutting. The plexiglass is much more forgiving at warmer temperatures. In preparation I got the canopy out of the shipping crate and measured for and marked a foreward-aft centerline. The canopy was then turn upside down on a foam pad and I placed the canopy frame into the canopy to check fit.
