I completed work related to the rear baggage panels. The bulkhead at the rear of the baggage compartment was drilled for platenuts, holes deburred and dimpled and platenuts riveted. The top of the upper panel was notched as required for clearance to one of the sliding canopy supports.
Next I began work with my recently received instument panel from Affordable Panels. First the panel sections were clecoed to the frame and match drilled to the frame. The frame was then prepared for attachment to the forward deck. The holes which are used to screw the frame to the forward deck ribs and attach angles were countersunk. The lower reinforcement angle was cut to length and drilled to the frame. The ends of the forward deck ribs were drilled, deburred and dimpled and platenuts riveted. The frame was screwed to the forward deck. The top angles were fluted as required to follow the curve at the top of the panel and were then drilled to the frame.
