Brief Description:  Cowl hinges. parking brake, rear wall

Big day at the factory today.

First I completed the cowl attach hinges for the side skins. The hinges and shims were cut to length, drilled to the fuselage, removed and deburred, and then riveted to the fuselage. Completing this will allow me to drill and attach the motor mount.

Next I worked on the parking brake. This is not a "standard" feature so the plans provide no insight. I took the valve and positioned it around the firewall with the direction of motion in mind. I finally came up with a plan and visioned a mounting bracket. I constructed the bracket from paper and then transeferred to sheet aluminum. After deburring, drilling, more deburring, bending and riveting the bracket seems very functional.

I spent the afternoon working with the corrugated aluminum that separates the baggage compartment from the tail cone. These were wrilled to the bulkheads, brearing blockes for the shoulder harneses were drilled, slotted, deburred and attahched, te top section was maked for holes and cutting, metal was drilled, cut, slotted, deburred and so on. Bearing blocks were riveted and panels were drilled to the bulkhead.
