Today I completed preparations on the components of the right aileron. The counterweight pipe was countersunk, and all ribs, the spar and the leading and training edge skins were deburred and dimpled. Dimpling of the leading edge skin where it attaches to the counterweight was donne by clecoing the counterweight to the skin, then placing a 2 x8 peice of wood on edge on the table and placing the leading edge ofer the wood, with the pipe resting on the edge of the wood. I used a dimple die in the rivet gun with the appropriate adapter and tapped the skin dimple down into the pipe countersink.
The left aileron was the assembled and drilled, and the spar was dimpled.
I also primed the inside and outside of the counterweight pipe.
