Brief Description:  Ailerons

Spent the day working with the ailerons, a more formidable component than I first expected. I reassembled the bending brake on the bench and working slowly and from both sides by flipping the component over and back worked the training edge bend down to the proper radius, using a 3/16" dowel at the bend to help assure the proper radius. Then the spar reinforcement plates were match drilled to the spar. Parts were disassembled, deburred and countersunk as needed and then the reinforcement plates wre riveted to the spar along with the required platenut. The nose ribs and counterweight pipe wre assembled to the spar and then the rear ribs and both leading edge and main skins were clecoed to the right aileron. Hole were match drilled through the skin and counterweight pipe and then through the skins and spar/ribs. The right aileron is ready for disassemble and final prep and the left is ready for assemble and match drilling.
