Well, the change of direction is finalized. I ordered the Viking FWF kit today!
This is a major change, of course, it puts me in the EAB category rather than in the ELSA type build. I had reservations from the start of going the ELSA route, and things just kept aggravating me about the choice. The final straw so to speak, was the fiasco over the warranty, when nobody even knew what the warranty was except Marty Santic, a fellow builder. Rotax and Vans connection with them has been a sore spot all along, and neither seems willing to do any real homework in solving problems, except to blame it on the other party. I feel I am getting a far, far better engine this way, and saving a substantial amount of money in the process.
Besides all that, I think the three blades prop and the cowiling from Viking pictured below for the 12, are much prettier as well!
