Brief Description:  Prep Right Leading Edge for Riveting

(1) Drilled/CS nutplates for W-423 joint. Dimpled screwholes to #8. Deburred, cleaned and primed. Riveted on nutplates using pneumatic squeezer. This turned out to be rather difficult as the dimples were deeper than the nutplate cavity such that the nutplate wouldn't lay flush when I clecoed one side to rivet the other. Nearly all of the rivet ended up slightly higher than flush and I will have to microshave them down once the leading edge is together. 7 of 28 rivets had to be drilled out and replaced. (2) Deburred and dimpled leading edge ribs and skins. Used pneumatic squeezer on ribs and skin edges. C-frame dimpler on remainder of skins. Made an inadvertant extra hole on the bottom of the skin near the leading edge of rib #3. Somehow the skin came out of the dimple die just as I was hammering. Resulting in a deep dimpling where there was no hole. Fortunately, it was far enough away from the intended target that I could just drill it out w/ the rib clecoed in place, deburr, and redimple the "new" rivet hole as well. Applied allodine to light scratches on interior of skin. (3) Clecoed skin, ribs and joint plate back together in anticipation of riveting tomorrow.
