Brief Description:  Sec 43-4 steps 1-3

Its 112 today!! so progress was in short bursts throughout the day. As Tim O and others have mentioned you have to take a LOT more material off than expected. Primarily around the door frames where they sit into the mid cabin. I ended up sanding any 'lip' completely off and then had to sand down into the primary fiberglass structure in order to get enough clearance for it to fit. It took a total of about 5 on & off sessions with sanding in between to get it to where it fits 'pretty good' the front intersection where it meets the upper fwd fuse still needs some attention, the aft portion of the cover actually seems to work pretty well. I sanded down to and 'slightly below the 3/4" scribe lines and that seems to provide the proper clearance. I don't know if this will help anybody, because from the looks of my cabin cover, I would expect there to be wide differences from one cover to the next based upon the way these are layed-up. It's too bad because the fit of dissimilar parts on the metal portion of Van's kits' is a thing of beauty, the cover, unfortunately is an ugly duck!
