Brief Description:  Landing light shroud

I’ve been working for few hours on that now and I’m still not done with this. While making the cardboard models, everything was fitting well in place but it is a bit more complicated when parts are made out of aluminum. The parts are either too short or too long.

The short shroud is easier to fit perhaps because the bend is more or less at 45 degree. The long one is another story. Perhaps it is better to make them in two parts. That idea comes from pictures send from Ken Sizemore, a fellow -14 builder. In his case, he took a set of Team Aerodynamix brackets and adapted them to fit Van’s OEM bracket by riveting the bracket support angles “inward” so the TA brackets get bolted to the W-00017 parts instead of being bolted to the leading edge ribs.

In my case, I intend to pursuit with my design. For this I need to make the mod to the long shrouds and fabricate the adjustable light bezel. I’ll resume the work on this part once I receive the material ordered for that.
