Brief Description:  Leading edges and landing lights

I have mounted all the nose ribs into the right leading edge skin. Strong from yesterday’s lesson, pretty much every rib went into place without problems. One comment here; make sure the flanges are fluted properly AND their faces are perpendicular (at 90 deg) to the web. Otherwise, the ribs are rubbing against the skin surface marring badly their delicate surface.

Last night, I had an inspiration for the landing lights shrouds. I have some thin aluminum stock here that I could use to make a prototype. First I’ve used cardboard for initial fit. The third model is mostly right. The problem with cardboard is that its thickness is way different then aluminum. I’ll have to compensate when transferring to the aluminum sheet.
