got back in to work after a week off today -
picked up where I left off with the servo bracket, the additional stiffener that was required was riveted and the side brace that was recommeneded was drawn up i foamcore first but then fabricated in .032 scrap and fitted to be match-drilled. I am not sure about this and am going to ask online and look into if this is really necessary since it would be quite involved to install and be in the way for any maintanence in that area of the fuselage.
The Compass bracket was final riveted and fitted at the proper angle, the two units had to be shimmed a little to get the right alignment but I am happy to secure these now. I made up two rear attachment 'pegs' by riveting two lead threaded lugs at the two rear attachment points which the SP-6 /7 just clips into, this allows for the untis to be pulled out for maintanence.
