Brief Description:  Avionics installation, painting

Having finalised the pitch servo installtion I focused on the remote compass installtion also requiring custom brackets and fittings according to the installtion of my design.

I chose to install on the upper keel between the two longerons after much reading and research. I fabricated a bracket from the scrapped stall warning kit skin making a tray to hang from between the two upper longerons to form a 'pocket' just under the fuselage skin when it is installed.

The trick was to design this to fit according to the correct axis, 3 axis had to line up and took some thought and work to get right, the second of the units was installed on the same bracket insuring it's correct line up and relation to the first unit.

The assembly was made uo with stiffeners added for rigidity and steadiness and the bracket was installed on UHMW 'bushes' to absorb vibration off the longerons and skin. The two units will be seated on a dense rubber foam in the bracket or tray to further secure them and remove vibration and metal resonance. This assembly and the servo assembly and a bunch of parts I have been working on were all prepped then primed and re fitted ready to be riveted and finalized tomorrow morning.
