Brief Description: Reviewing QB Assembly And Installing Windshield
Drilled locking hole on SNB-D01-04 canopy latch to match hole on SNB-D02-01 canopy lock plate assembly.
Reviewed/verifyied all quickbuild assembly steps on this plans page. Discovered discrepancy between plans and actual factory build on the SNB-D02-12 canopy longeron hinge attachment. Plans call for 24 rivets securing it to the longeron, but my quickbuild assembly from the factory only installed 13 rivets. This is being questioned with Kerry at Sonex Tech Support.
Dad and I clecoed the windshield assembly into place, then checked the canopy leading edge fit to the windshield bow and trim piece. Ready to start trimming canopy forward edge for the 1/16" gap at the windshield trim strip.
