Brief Description: Fitting/Clecoing Windshield to Windshield Skirt
Inserted the windshield into the skirt frame. Positioned to match up the holes around the filler opening and clecoed the holes surrounding the opening, plus 3 holes to each side along the front edge.
Once front was aligned and secured, I pre-drilled (#40) the windshield bow at top dead center on the hole centerline. Inserted windshield bow and roughly positioned. Clecoed skirt and windshield through the pre-drilled holes into the hole in the bow to align and secure the back edge of the windshield materials.
Inserted towels between the windshield and the glare shield to start forcing the winshield to take the outer curvature of the skirt and align for drilling the holes as I work around the windshield perimeter drilling and clecoing.
Trimmed ~1/4" from forward edge of windshield to allow easier fitting up by upper firewall.
Inserted windshield into skirt until holes lined up and could be clecoed around filler opening.
Clecoed top dead center on rear of windshield to align skirt, windshield, and bow.
