Brief Description: Remove Temp Attachments & Install Motor Mount
Completed removal of the instrument panel, glare shield, and Seat pan.
Temporarily mounted the motor mount to determine proper bolt grip length for upper (2) and lower (2) firewall attachment points.
Required grip length for lower bolts (AN5-35A called for by plans, but too long): Measured AN5-35A bolt at 3.741" less 0.7715" protrusion with nut and washers = 2.9695" grip length.
Required grip length for upper bolts: Measured temporary bolt (3.5" x 5/16) at 3.52" less 0.6665" protrusion with nut and washers = 2.8535" grip length.
Ordered AN5-33A bolts for the two lower attachment points and AN5-32A bolts for the two upper attachment points.
