I fabricated two grommetted 1/4" OD tubing clamps to install at the bends of the vent line just before it exits the floor of the cockpit cabin.
The clamps each took one rubber grommet and one 6/32 threaded nutplate, and were placed in very close proximity to the two bends in the vent line tubing.
Due to the angle of the tubing as it progressed from the bulkhead fitting down to the exit hole, it was not truely parrallel to the centerline spline on the firewall, and the lower clamp had to be fabricated twice, with the second clamp having slightly less offset from the screw to the grommet.
Ready to design an fabricate a cover to protect the tubing from accidental damage from foot contact.
Cut, bent and deburred metal clamp sheet work from 0.025" 6061 T6 aluminum stock.
Final aluminum tubing clamps with rubber grommets and nut plates installed.
Clamps installed at the tubing bends to reinforce and hold the position as the tubing exits the floor.
