Brief Description:  Engine Cooling

Plans:
1. Install a different sender in the cooling line.
Status: Complete. I found a sender designed to operate at 170/160 on/off. Making the change was as simple as changing a light bulb.

Running the engine now looks better but still difficult to tell. A temperature sticker on the outlet of the radiator indicates 190 degree max. It was 200 degree in the past. I appear to have an improvement of around 10 degrees.

About this time my research has found that running pure water could help even more. The downside is an elevated freezing point and potential rust in the system. Supposedly both water-wetter and anti-freeze inhibit rust. Freezing is not a serious concern here in Southern California at this altitude.
