Plans: 1. Engine cooling test. Status: Complete. Today I had an opportunity to run the engine for the first time since making the cooling mods. The test was successful but it seems like things were only a few degrees cooler. It turns out that it is difficult to assess the performance since the demand on the engine is different each time I run it. During this break-in period I am not supposed to run for long periods at idle so I can't quite nail it down. I did find that the blower turned on with an indicated temperature at around 215 degrees. I think I will change the coolant sender to a lower temperature. It is currently set to 185/175 degrees on/off. As it is downstream from the radiator the inlet temperature is higher.
