Brief Description: Drilled HS-411 and conversion coated VA-146
Matched drilled the HS-411 brackets to the VA-146 bearing. Then disassembled, deburred cleaned, conversion coated and primed the VA-146 bearing. We are using the SanChem CC6100 conversion coating process. This involves cleaning the part with part C of the product using an abrasive pad then dipping or brushing a mixture containing parts A and B. The instructions said that if the color change didn't occur in 60 seconds then we didn't clean with part C well enough. The first time we tried no change at all. We then washed the part in part C again and rubbed a little harder. We got some color change but it was splotchy. Third time is the charm. The key here was to be aggressive with the cleaner
