Spent the day in an EAA Workshop learning fundamentals. Good experience and hopefully the practice will help my project.
Continued with former installation. Drilled the two lower side formers and mounted on the fuselage. I stopped short of installing safety wire so I can put some anti chaff tape on first. I ordered some and its on the way.
Modified the front of the top former. When modified, the former still only goes far enough forward to accept a transfer drill right at the end of the tube. There is some weld pieces on the tab that are preventing the tube from running any farther forward. Deserves a call to tech support on Monday.
Got out the upper side formers and got it all ready to install the next time I go out.
Formers to-do: - anti-chaff tape and safety wire lower side former - get answer on top former. - mark and drill top former support tube locations. - cut top former to length - upper side former install - belly fuselage formers, install
