Brief Description: Second gear leg complete and fitted rear seat
I finished the 2nd gear leg for clearance for possibly mounting fat bush tires one day. The match pretty good. I then started to work on getting my rear seat to align to the connection points. The preowned kit I purchased came with seats complete (very happy about that) but the attach points were not tapped into the fuselage frame. The alignment was off considerable and was a frustrating process to get it right without messing somethign up. I was able to heat 2 of the four legs and use a pipe wrench to slightly change the angle of the tube and connection point. That gave me three that fit with relative ease. One then was 1/4" off. I cut the inside brace tube and bent the leg out 1/4" and also had to bend the connection upward an 18th or so. I welded the brace back together and very happy now. My seat will pop right in and out with minimal aggravation!
