Before the inspection I have to weigh it. This was done with a set of automobile racing scales. I leveled the plane by raising the tail and wheels off the floor, the fuel drained out of the tanks, oil at 8 qts all panels and wheel fairings on and seats in and canopy closed and locked then powered up the scales to zero calibrate them then slowly lowering the plane onto the scales, measured at Left main- 504# Right main-506# and tail -62# for a total of 1072#. Spent 1.2 hours dual with Les to get checked out in his RV-7
