After looking at John's canopy and Les helping to bend it as close as possible, I decided enough was enough and decided on cutting the canopy in two. First I cut the factory sides off the located the frame in the canopy so I could drill the hole for the handle, which I did with a step drill, It wouldn't fit in the called out 5/8" hole so went up to a 11/16" even then it was a tight fit and had to enlarge the front side as well as grinding the weld down so the canopy wouldn't crack.
