Brief Description:  Taill parts

Re-measured the 5 parts I made yesterday and I think they are close. Tried to make a rib on forms today. Made 6T1 1, 6T12 and 6T13. It seems there is going to be a learning curve on this airplane building. I'm using 7 Ply plywood for forms.....it just may be too soft on the front curved edges to properly form the leading edge of those rib parts. I also found that I cut my relief cuts too high and they crimped the top edges as I drove the Aluminum into those relief cuts. Will need to make new forms, cut the releif cuts lower (and deeper) and try again. Actually these might be usable but I'm not gonna be willing to settle on them at this early start up point, nor I expect later on down the road either. Good training for me.

Tried the "dreaded" .040 thickness material also. The Doublers for the Stab Spar, and Rudder Spar. While the Break did indeed handel the .040 and bent it...I have the bow in them despite the fact that I clamped every 8" between the clamping bolts on the break to be sure I held the material tight. Also I'm still dealing with the wrong finished size. more than 18mm on one side - less on the other. I tried Debo's suggestion of bending them at 100cm then cutting them off to size... Still getting the bow. Need to think this one through.
