Today I received my Aluminum "sheet" order. I now have the material to complete both wings, The Forward Top Skin behind the cockpit, the 650 Rudder (should I decide to go that route) and the Fuel Tanks. I layed-out and cut the pattern for the end caps of the tanks and cut out and bent the skin for both. I now need to make a wood patten and form the ends to assemble the tanks. I'll need to order the fill parts from ZAC to complete them. The skins folded up easier than I expected. I'm thinking I'm going to farm out the welding to a AC welder I understand is near by. I can't weld Aluminum with my equipment and I don't want to invest in another welder. More as I progress.
