Brief Description:  Wing Tanks

I again was able to get back to the AC project today. Spent most of yesterday at the EAA Chapter 1st Saturday Fly-in. We had the FAA present three topics as part of The Wings program - Uncontrolled Airports, Weather, and Cross-Wind Landings. Excellent presenters and excellent attendance We had over 40 AC fly in and almost a hundred people.

I've completed the Wing Tanks - as far as I can go at the moment. I've put in a few small rivets to hold everything in-place and will take them to the Welder as soon as I purchase the parts for ZAC to complete them. I need all of the "weldments" - Fill, Drain, Outlet, Vent, etc... Called and got a price for them from ZAC...as usual....not cheap but WAY under the cost of pre-made tanks from ZAC - even factoring in the Welding hired out. I'll end up with less than the cost of one tank in both. I'm pleased with them - thus far - and believe they will do the job well.

Now on to the Forward Top Skin....as the replacement metal for the mis-shipment arrived as well.
