Brief Description: Wing progress Part 2 for this date
Pic's I could not include on previous page. Shows part 3 of leading edge skin (3 root end ribs). The opening to left of this skin is - of course - the Fuel Tank area. Lower leading edge skin is not cut to spec's yet....top skin area is and rear bottom edge skin is too.. Both pic's show early 1st pass at polish....many more passes to come. The pics do define the "dimples" around the rivets in this lighting...they appear to be very deep in the pic's - they're not as deep as they seem to appear...just the lighting and angle of the shots - it appears - amplifies shadows around them. Last Pic is of Wng Carrier/storage rack. I'm going to modify/add to the top of this rack to hold the Hor Stab and Elevator. On the top Sides of the rack - above the Wings - I'm gonna add attachments to hold the Flaps and Ailerons, too. When the full skins - including Leading Edges are done they will still fit nicely in this rack. After I fit the Wings to the Fuse and align all, I'll ten add the Ailerons and Flaps to the Wings for final attachment and the Full/complete/together wings - Leading edge to trailing edges of the Ailerons/Flaps - will still fit on this rack and the pair of them will be easy to move and/or travel in it - to final A/C assembly location.
