Brief Description: Wing - Rt top skin and nose skin
This entry is a grouping of a couple of days efforts - mostly - on the Wings. During this time - I've fab'ed up a dolly to "hang" the Wings in when they are not on the table for work. It hangs them vertical on their nose and gets them off the floor and spacers (I was storing them on before) where they could be knocked over - perhaps - and moves them onto a movable (wheels on the dolly) unit that alllows me to easily move the rack and all on it - for any reason. I also picked up some 3/4" Plastic conduit at Lowes then ran it through the lightening holes on the right wing. I fab'ed up some carriers from .032 and A-4'ed them to the ribs to keep the conduit where I wanted it and to also keep it from moving. My electrical wires from the wing tip lights will be routed through this conduit. I then fitted the 650 style "L's" to the mid point of the ribs on the top then primed the ribs, L's and Top Skin that was previously fitted to the wing (then returned to temporary storage). Since nothing else was holding me off from closing the Rt Wing.....I attached and riveted the top skin. I followed that by laying out and cutting (oversize) the root end curves and tip end curve to design spec's. I need to now install the WingTips but first need to acquire the F/G parts (I've decided it is not in my do-it-myself list of things to make - I'll buy em from ZAC) I also then fitted the nose skin at the root end (1st 3 Nose Ribs) I'll not final rivet this - however- until I do the Tip end 4 nose ribs (and the longest length of the 3 part Leading Edge Skins) when I get more .025 material. The center section of the leading edge will wait until I install the fuel tanks (down the road of time a bit - as I have not constructed them or even cut them out yet.
