Brief Description:  Fuselage Cockpit floor and Center Spar 3

I also put the rear Fuse back on the table, put it on steel bars and spaced, elevated the sections as called for in the construction manual and placed the firewall in position to check on it's fit and angle after doing all of the steps. Right on 77 degees. I then clamped the upper Longeron's in place just to measure their fit and location and the bottom to top distance as well as the measurement across - forward and back. I bent them last week and have not had the opportunity to see if they do the job until now. They do - so that takes a bit of concern off my mind and I'll go back to the order of things in the Constrution Manual. This part (the Fuselage) really begins to make one feel they are building an airplane - as least for me it does. I'm not at all unhappy I skipped ahead to start this part with my grandson while he was here. I'm also watching the developments with Zenith this week at Oshkosh with the new 650 designation for what has been the 601XL up to now. Watching the Zenith List for comments made at the Zenith Dinner there about any changes. The early notes from some of the builders suggest some changes in Wing set up and attachment material thickness etc. Waiting to see if those changes will be recommended for builders who are currently not assembled yet and able to do changes with little difficulty. The changes I've read to date are Rudder, rear Spar attachment material and additional angle "L's" in the sides of the rear fuse. Will be watching for others.
