Brief Description:  Attached carburetor assembly, worked on baffles.

Consulted with Bill, decided it was too risky to try and remove the non-drilled studs. Tom found some low profile all metal lock nuts in a secret hiding place, and I used those and the Lock-O-Seal washers to reinstall and secure the spider to the engine case. I will attempt return of studs from Geek. Controls need to be hooked up.

Bill and I decided to switch to 15W50 oil now with the 11 hours of break-in on the engine. I will get a case from Sandy.

Worked on baffles. Removed riveted-on nose strip and rubber, cleaned off old glue with MEK, sprayed with flat black paint. I will rebuild so the halves can be split for maintenance.

Slit the baggage area carpet to fit over the seatbelt center attach bracket. Attempted seatback stain removal using alcohol. Don’t think it worked.
