Brief Description:  Discovered wrong pistons, ordered.

Met with Jeanne on Monday to review status. Sorted through all the old instruments and decided that we will make a new insert for the panel and use the old VFR-required instruments, and abandon the IFR instruments. Jeanne made a list of things we can sell on eBay. Jeanne is also shoppping for a starter.

I tried a trial fit of one of the cylinders to the case. The rod end would not fit into the piston!!! What? Research determined that the pistons obtained from Ken that had been in the cylinders he gave us were the type used for the higher compression O-200 and O-300 engines, PN 530348. A side-by-side comparison of the parts lists showed that the piston is the only thing different. Ordered four PN 40327 pistons from Fresno Airparts. Also ordered two of the "special nut" PN 2557 from Univair so we can mount the intake manifold properly (was not proper as dissassembled.

Dry fit one cylinder without piston to check push rod lengths. Looks OK.

At a standstill now awaiting pistons.
