Today I finished rolling the #$@#@$ leading edges of the elevators. Oh...and I ran out of another blind rivet. Fortunately, the order from Van's hadn't shipped yet, so I just added the other rivets to my existing order.
Aside from the @#@*(*# leading edges, I also cut out the trim tab foam ribs, as well as the clamping blocks I'll need for the trim tab. I was able to make these from some scrap plywood left over from the horizontal stablizer jig.
I'm still waiting on the fuel tank sealant to arrive in order to totally finish out the elevator. Once that's arrived, I'll be good to go. Also, the trim tab ribs (foam) are held in place with the same adhesive. As such, I'll do all of that at once. I'm hoping I can get it done by the weekend. That way, the parts can sit all next week and cure.
