Brief Description:  Final prep for Rudder Assy

Today I finished deburring the holes in the rudder skins that were left. I also, prepped and primed the parts. Right now, the the parts are dry, but I thought I would give them a few more hours for the primer to really harden before I start assembling everything.

I did have to place an order with Aircraft Spruce last night for a few things. I ordered another deburring tool (actually, it's a style that I don't have which makes it easy to get into tight corners). I also needed to order some ProSeal (a suitable substitute, actually), rivet tape, and a couple of other inexpensive items.

I have a business trip next week, so I'm hoping to get all of the prep done and some of the sub-assembly assembly completed before I leave. When I get home, the only thing left to do on the rudder will be to seal the trailing edge and do some final riveting.

All in all, the rudder has gone quite quick. I know the next chapter, the horizontal stabilizer, will take some time, though. Regardless, things are moving along well. At this rate, i think it's a very real possibility that I will be finished (or near finished) with the empennage kit sometime next year.
