In shot one you can see that the nutplate mounting on the right side is skewed. Why? Well, the left went perfect. The right? Well, the drill "walked" a har and it no longer lined up with the bolt hole.
Not a problem. I just went ahead and skewed the nutplate, then filled the hole with a rivet. I don't see where this error will cause a problem (and it's not viewable since this is literally in the bowels of tailcone). The actual bolt holes are in the exact right position, so I think I'm OK.
The second photo shows the holes drilled in the tail tie down mounting stock. I have to buy a tap & die set to tap the hole, but there's no rush on that...
