And so begins a new section. This afternoon I pulled some of the smaller components that begin the tailcone. As has become somewhat of a trend, step one was to take some raw stock and begin cutting.
As it turns out, buying that band saw has been one of the best things I purchased. I never would have got the tie down stock cut with a hand-held saw.
Anyway, I just spent a bit of time pulling parts and doing some basic fabrication.
SIDE NOTE: This chapter was re-printed based on plans changes. My kit was manufactured in 2007 (shipped in 2008) just prior to a major plans change related to strengthening the tail attachment points. As such, this chapter was updated to accomodate those changes.
