Brief Description:  Flu and Infection / Transmission Installation

Soooo….I went to bed last night feeling really strange and with a horrible smell in my sinuses. I woke up on Friday with the worst cold I’ve ever had in my life. 102 degree fever, chills, sweating, aches all over, and basically hoping for the sweet blanket of death to cover over me.

I couldn’t believe that this was happening to me when Tom came all the way out here to help me, and all I want to do is to curl up into a ball and die. My wife Dawn called our doctor and got me an appointment at 3pm. I wasn’t sure I could make it until then, but I had to suck it up and do what I could.

I was able to work with Tom getting the transmission onto the crane and onto the ship, including all the prep and steps that are required. I struggled and fought to keep engaged, but in 50 years I’ve never felt this bad in my life. I think I made it to about 1pm and then I made some room on the trailer to lay down for a moment, and couldn’t move again. My wife came by to take me to the doctor about an hour later, and that was all I could do.

It was determined that I had a bad flu and a severe sinus infection. I was given Theraflu and antibiotics, and set to bed. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done to go home to bed while Tom was working on MY helicopter all by himself. This was total bullshit.
