Now that the probes are installed on the tanks, I’m rewarding myself with a much less stressful job of installing the fuel fill collars. WHY WOULD I EVEN SAY THAT?! This simple job was a pain in the butt because I couldn’t get the damn collars started on the threaded ports. They just wanted to cross thread, so it was a constant identification of if it was just binding on new thread, or if it was actually cross threading.
The good news was that once you were able to get them going into the tank, it was simple to thread them down to the point where you would use a strap wrench to bring them home. I will still need to make stickers for the tanks for the fuel type and max quantity.
