Installing the E-mags is another big step in the completion of the helicopter. I downloaded the installation instruction online, and just walked step by step through the process. I’m still confused on the timing issue, but I will figure that out when I get closer to it.
The only thing that I really needed to do to the E-mags before mounting them on the engine was to install the keyed gear with a nut and cotter pin once I torqued the nut to the correct value. Actually installing them just involved removing the temporary covers from the engine, and replacing them with the E-mags.
