Brief Description: Carburetor Installation, Fuel Lines, CHT Probes

What a damn nightmare!! I thought this would be the easiest thing ever, but it turns out that this is a different manifold than what was typically used on the Safari, so it’s not clearly explained in the manual about how it all goes together. In a nutshell, I had to make my own bolts that were long enough to get the thread count I needed inside the manifold, but short enough to make the bend in the carburetor to enter the holes.
The other way that this could have been done was to install a threaded post and secured it with lock nuts on both the carb side and the manifold side. The only post I could find was a zinc post at a hardware store and I didn’t feel comfortable using it on the helicopter, so I decided to use the hardened bolts and locktite them into the manifold. I think this will be fine, but I will be checking them frequently for a while.
With the carburetor installed, I could connect the remainder of the fuel lines with the exception of the lines running to the tanks, which aren’t installed yet.
I’ve installed the CHT probes, but I haven’t secured them to the engine and frame yet.
