Brief Description: Engine Relocation to the Vertical Stand
This was a little bit scary for a couple of reasons. First, MY welds needed to hold the weight of the engine. Secondly, I had to add chain to my hoist to allow me to pull the pre-mounted engine stand under the hanging engine. This move was a little precarious because I had to pull the engine under the hoist with one hand while releasing air pressure and lowing the hoist with the other. Luckily, it worked perfectly, and it gently landed in the vertical position.
Even though all of the oil had been drained from the engine, it of course still had oil seeping out due to this new orientation and new oil ports. You can see I have an oil catch located under the engine in the stand, and I will need to take off the cover I made for the newly installed oil hose connection.
