Not much to describe here except that I’m glad I checked work that I normally would assume has been finished. I was safety wiring the bolts holding on the tail rotor transmission to the tail boom when I noticed that there were two cotter pins missing from the tail rotor assembly that came directly from Safari.
As I was wondering how they missed that, I glanced over at the bearing blocks for the driveshaft and noticed that I missed two cotter pins myself! I can tell you that there is going to be a lot of checking and double-checking going forward.
