I have always heard that the FAA takes months to process aircraft registration, so I asked Safari for the title company contact in Oklahoma that Tom received from them last year. It’s a company that is apparently in close proximity to the FAA offices and they claim to be able to process the aircraft registration in only a couple of days for a small fee. Considering that you can’t call for your airworthiness inspection until you have the actual registration card, this was something that was worth the money.
The title company was amazing and had it in hand in just two days. I asked that they overnight it to me, but once FedEx took possession of it, that’s the last anyone ever saw of it again. They lost it between it’s last stop about an hour from my house, and where I live. They had a million excuses and took zero responsibility, but after another week and a half I had to ask the title company for a replacement. I was so pissed, but they got another one in about 48 hours and even covered the cost.
