Welcome to my RV-8 aircraft builder's log! This log is for FAA compliance and for family/friends to follow along. This log represents my building experiences and should not be used in substitute of official building plans and instructions.

What's this about?
I am building an airplane. In my house. With my wife's permission. Seriously!

The airplane is a Van's Aircraft RV-8 that:

  • seats two passengers - front and back (tandem)

  • travels cross-country at just shy of 200mph

  • performs basic aerobatic maneuvers easily and safely

... so all around, it's a great airplane. It is also very popular with over 6,000 (of the various RV models) flying.
