Matt's Hangar
Modified KR-1 (renamed the ME-1XL) for my 6' 9" frame. She is 2 ft longer and has a 1 ft span increase over stock. Slotted flaps on the stub and outer wings were added as well. Originally to be powered by a Corvair, I changed my mind in 2013 to install a Cont. O-200 due to the ever increasing failures in the field of Corvair engines. Too much of a risk on such a fast plane with little wheels. The Corvair will end up on my Pietenpol project. MCE 04/07/15 - This project will be moth-balled indefinately.
